Check the weather forecast for wind, rain, and temperature. Alternatively, QBase3D has a built-in weather forecast under "Tools" --> "Weather". Type your location and receive the forecast. This can also be used to calculate wind at time of flight to adjust flight lines. In case of unsafe weather conditions during flight, return the drone home immediately.
Wind
It is possible to fly the Trinity F90+ in winds up to 9m/s. At 100 meters, this correlates to approximately 12m/s. The Trinity F90+ will automatically return home if wind speeds exceed 12 m/s.
Use the provided anemometer before flying - first time start-up of the anemometer:
• Switch on the anemometer by pressing MODE for 2 seconds.
• Set measuring method to MAX by pressing MODE for 3 seconds till m/s is blinking. Press SET until MAX is shown blinking. Press MODE to confirm.
• To reset the MAX-value press MODE for 3 seconds till m/s is blinking. Then press MODE to confirm.
Temperature
The Trinity F90+ can fly in temperatures from -12°C to 50°C. For flights below 0°C, the battery must be heated to 35°C for at least five hours before the flight and the flight time is limited to 60 minutes. Flight-times degrade as the temperature reaches the -12°C limit.
Precipitation/Fog
Do not fly in case of rain, snow, or fog. If there is precipitation during your flight, please return home immediately to ensure the drone is safe.
Poor Magnetic Environments
In many areas close to the magnetic north or south pole, magnetic compass measurements can become unpredictable and limits the usefulness of a compass measurement. It is always recommended to do a magnetic compass calibration when going to an area where this is suspected. In case of error message on QBase3D, please contact us immediately to resolve.
