1. Download and install VLC Player
2. Power on and pair your Live Deck with an EVO or EVO 2 aircraft
3. On MacOS Connect the Live Deck to your computer with an ethernet cable
a. Open “System Preferences”
b. Network
c. Select the correct ethernet adapter
i. On the Configure IPv4 tab, choose “Manually”
ii. Input IP Address: 192.168.0.100
iii. Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
iv. Click “Apply”
d. Open VLC Player
i. On the menu bar select “VLC” then “Preferences”
ii. On the bottom left select “Show all”
iii. On the left meu bar, select “Stream output”
iv. Change the value in the box for “Stream Output Mixer Caching (ms)” to 50.
1. Depending on the processing power of the computer you may
need adjust the caching lower to reduce latency of the video
stream. You also may have to increase the caching on a weaker
computer.
v. Select “Save”
vi. Select “File” and “Open Network
vii. In the “Network” tab enter this URL: rtsp://192.168.0.1/realtime
viii. Click “Open”
• This setup only needs to be performed once on the transmitting computer unless the
transmitting computer is plugged back into an ethernet port providing internet service.
Then use the following steps:
o Plug back in the ethernet cable, follow the instructions back through to Step 3-c-i
and select “Using DHCP” and then “Apply”
• User will have to setup the ethernet connection on the transmitting computer again before
use of Live Deck
